Site Updates

Hi,

I've added Joomla CMS to the website. A CMS allows any register users to add content to the site without worrying about HTML, FTP, and all that coding stuff.

Just go to the main page of the site, and register for an account. Use the same username and password as the forum.  Then the mods (which is only me at the moment) will change the settings so that you can add articles to the site.

Once the mod makes you an author, you will see new options. Go to the "Things You Can  Do," click on the links in the side menu, and you will see "Submit xxxx Update," When you click on that, you will see a form that allows you to an article to that section.

The goal is for us to brainstorm in the forum, and once the plans are set, someone will write the final draft for the site.

When you add an article to the site, a moderator will have to approve it before it appears on the site. Right now, I'm the only mod. Is anyone interested in being a mod?

Re: Site Updates

I'll second, brim here. I'm sitting here in the lab and open up the page and WOW. CHANGE. Turned out to be a really great look! And while I'm here, I'll equal my praises on the sheswatchingyou page. Everyone's been talking about how awesome the vid is!

Re: Site Updates

Added  info about the E! Online poll.

I'll be adding a VM/Everwood fan swap thing later today.

Sorry for not posting much. Unfortunately I'm not as efficent as Veronica.  Running  3 VM sites is a time-consuming, mind-numbing, soul-sucking experience.  Fun, fun, fun.

Re: Site Updates

Sorry for not updating sooner. Been busy installing a gallery and a blog for the site.

Posted an announcement on WVM.net and ThePCH.net. During the weekend, I'll contact the people who said they are interested in helping out to see what they can contribute.

I can't post about this stuff on TWoP because you are not allowed to pimp your own site. Is there anyone who can post about WVM "Double or Nothing" page on TWoP.

Anyone have time to post the announcement on other VM communities? The announcement at the ThePCH is an abbreviated version of the page at WVM. You can either copy the abbreviated announcement or make up your own.

The MI.net, NPR, and WVM webteams are stretched thin, so hopefully some people will volunteer to help out.

Re: Site Updates

I made general updates all over the site, but I fully revamped the DVD Drive section to include information on the S2 phase of the drive:

http://www.watchveronicamars.net/dvd_drive/
http://www.watchveronicamars.net/dvd_drive/confirm_libraries/
http://www.watchveronicamars.net/dvd_drive/donations_s2/

I also added a list of episode abbreviations to the "New to VM?" section:

http://www.watchveronicamars.net/new_viewers/abbrev/

And the final talley of profits to the Café Press Sales Report:

http://www.watchveronicamars.net/cafe_press/sales_report

Please email me if you see anything else on the site that needs updating (I know the Cloud Watchers "In the News" section does and I am on it) or if you have an idea for something that should be on WVM.net that isn't.
