FLYERS

from cherrybomb1108 at TWoP

I originally had the idea to go around to my local mall (the second largest in the country) and/or community colleges and drop off flyers on people's cars, that way we are targeting random people, just like Neilsen does.  I figured it would be relatively minimal cost and just couple hours worth of time for each person.  We are looking into pricing over the next few days and trying to figure the most cost efficient way, whether we make the copies individually or look into what kind of bulk rate we can find.  Right now, the idea is to pass the flyers out the weekend before the stand-alones air.  I believe there are a couple people working on mock-ups for the flyers, but nobody has posted one yet.

If you have anything to add or a link to a possible flyer design, post it in this thread.

Re: FLYERS

I am planning on going to kinkos this weekend to get some pricing information.  Does anybody have any ideas about what I should be asking about?  Sheet size? Colored paper? white paper w/ colored ink? Black/white?  Quantity?  Any suggestions would be really helpful for me to narrow down my questions there.

If people wouldn't mind, could anyone interested in doing their part in 'papering the town' please e-mail me? I am trying to get a head count to check on pricing. I am at Irelandred1108@gmail.com. This doesn't mean a full commitment from you, I am just looking to get a ballpark number to go to the store with. Thank you.

Re: FLYERS

I have a friend (who is a fellow VM fan thanks to me) that works at a local copy place. He would probably give us a good deal on printing fees. He printed my S3 premiere party posters.

Re: FLYERS

Filmtx, there has been discussion about prices on the eternal vililance thread at twop.  If you think you can get better prices than some some of the other listed options, it would be great.

Re: FLYERS

Cherry, you can email filmtx (Michelle) through the forum by clicking the word "Email" under her name. Same goes for me wink

Your campaign is really taking shape, huh? Good work!

I will try to add a page to the site this weekend about the flyer campaign. I have been super busy lately, but since we are gonna need help in places other than LA and NYC, it is time to get the word out.

Re: FLYERS

Hey guys,

I finally posted the list of people who have signed up to pass out flyers in their hometowns. Feel free to use this thread for planning: where you want to meet your fellow fans, how many flyers you want each person to bring, what you are going to say to the people you hand them to, etc.

If there are enough people in one city to warrent a separate thread, don't be afraid to start one.

Email me or cherrybomb1108 if you have any questions.

Re: FLYERS

I'm going to be in Austin later this week, so I'm going to be taking flyers around Houston tomorrow if anyone wants to join me.

Re: FLYERS

I spent most of the morning posting flyers at Starbucks. They have magnet boards so that flyers can be posted. I hit every Starbucks in my area and only one said I couldn't post the flyer because it wasn't for a "charity." The magnet boards are usually located where people waiting for their coffee can see them. Just a suggestion.

Re: FLYERS

That is such great news, Michelle! On a personal note, I suck for not calling you back. Work was busy my last few weeks, then packing, now trying to see everyone before I leave on Friday... Anna and I are planning on filiming something when we see each other next week in Atlanta though. Hopefully it will not be too late for your video.

Re: FLYERS

Re: FLYERS

How successful was the FLYER campaign? I saw the results pictures of flyers around the city, but still curious if it really drew up any buzz? How were the ratings for the May 1st return? All that stuff. Could it be enough to keep the show going?
